I meet Pasquale Ottaviano and his son Fabio by the marina of Torre del Greco.Here the blue of the sea cradles the sleeping boats and the seagulls seem to echo our voices, Pasquale started carving shells when he was only a child and since then he has never stopped, he is almost 80 ! …no doubt that is real passion !

Pasquale’s art is in a painstakingly miniature form. He creates perfect and complex compositions in a space of a couple of inches. It seems impossible that they have been made by human hand. He is so modest, lovely and fun that you can’t resist him !
